Elizabeth Barnes is a St. Petersburg Native. She attended Smith College in Northampton, MA, received a Master’s Degree in Information Management from the University of Maryland, College Park and
her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. She is an active member of the Florida Bar.
Prior to her law career Elizabeth worked as a fundraiser in non-profit organizations in California and Washington, DC. She also worked as a librarian in Washington DC and in Florida. She still
draws upon her experience in both of these fields regularly in her law practice.
Elizabeth lives with her wife Carissa, their son Quincy and many cats and dogs in St. Petersburg. She enjoys gardening, biking, reading and road trips.
In addition to work and play, Elizabeth is also a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (PFAWL), and The Canakaris American Inn of Court, and teaches as an adjunct at Stetson
University College of Law.
